Spring has certainly sprung this year at Ratna Ling as our center is seeing many fresh faces and experiencing a beautiful flowering of activity. As we head into this season of new beginnings, we are excited to share our new program of retreats, ranging from revitalizing weekend retreats to week long in-depth explorations. Kum Nye Corner    'Expanding Inner Energy'

This enjoyable exercise encourages the free flow of pure energy throughout the body, promoting positive feelings of happiness.

1. Lie down on your back with your legs comfortably spaced and your arms by your side. Take your heels off the floor, bend your knees, one at a time, and bring them toward your chest. Flex your ankles so the toes point toward your head.

2. Slide your arms along the floor until they are stretched out at shoulder-height, palms up. Draw your thighs strongly toward your torso. Relax and breathe through nose and mouth.

3. Keeping your left thigh as close to your body as possible, slowly extend your right leg (with the ankle flexed) toward the ceiling. Feel the contraction in the left thigh and the extension in the right.

4. Keeping your stomach and upper body relaxed, slowly bend the right knee, bringing the right thigh as close to your body as you can, while extending the left leg up. Let breath and awareness expand and become one with the movement.

Do the complete movement 3 times continuously. Then lower the left leg, release the tension and, one at a time, return your feet to the floor.
